The Ag Ecology class teamed up with a local powerplant and BYU-I to do a fish research and salvage project out of a local canal! It's always one of the students favorite field trips, very educational, and hands-on! Opportunities like this allow students in the South Fremont Ag program to gain real-life experiences that can lead directly to a career in the future!

Some custom sweatshirts made by business management class! Working hard to figure out new machinery. So proud of how well these kids collaborate and help each other!

Crafts practiced some embroidery stitched on portraits, they came out great.

Another sign. Started as a picture a customer sent, on to the vectorized art, then the finished sign! Students involved the whole way!

A sign and custom doorbell cover the ag fab kids built this week!

Here are some more wonderful scratch art pieces!

Drawing just finished their scratch art and it came out amazing!!

Beginning drawing was challenged with the task of drawing a still life using charcoal, these are some wonderful drawings!

Mrs. Hammonds Foods class and Culinary class competed today in a Halloween Cupcake Wars competition. Look at the talent of these little chefs!

Greeting the students this morning. This is how we do Halloween at South Fremont High School.
Happy Halloween.

Intro to Ag Mechanics is learning basic woodworking skills with a project of building sawhorses. Two sawhorses per student makes for a lot of lumber, but it's definitely a project they can use at home for the rest of their lives!

The Business program got the opportunity to tour lagoon and see how an amusement park business operates successfully through marketing, guest services, customer service, and operations (and had a little fun while doing so).

Business Management class wanted to congratulate the men's cross country team on making it to state! They wanted to wish them luck by making custom team hats for them. Go Cougars!

Carving pumpkins in Plant Science! We'll save the seeds and see if they'll grow!

Parents and Students: College application week is happening right now. I have been in the classrooms with Juniors and Seniors getting them signed up on nextsteps.idaho.gov and looking at scholarships on goingmerry.com
Seniors have been working on signing up for college or looking into trades they are interested in. We have been doing activities for every grade to participate in and get them thinking about after high school. My goal is to help any student at any age to get information about a college or career that they may be interested in. If you would like to come meet with me and your student to talk about colleges, careers or scholarships, please feel free to email or call me to make an appointment. I'm here to help. Thank you!

Ag Department took a livestock judging team to the NILE in Billings, MT last week. Such a great opportunity to judge some truly great classes of animals. We took a young team of 6th-10th graders, and I think we have some promising judgers here! Placed 25th out of 45 teams with nearly 400 students participating from all over Montana, Idaho, Washington, Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado.

Today in U.S. history we got to experience what it was like to pass through Ellis Island in New York during the late 1800s!

Beginning Ceramics made their own versions of Alebrijes. They did a good job!

Attention, parents of seniors graduating in 2024!
Direct Grad came and spoke with the seniors today about ordering their caps, gowns, and senior swag. They are being asked to use the attached QR Code to get their cap and gown ordered. They will need their student number, a parent email address, as well their student email address. The ordering deadline is December 20, 2023. The cost will increase after that date. The cap and gown will be red, so if they have an older sibling or friend who has one from the past, they are welcome to borrow it!
Thank You!!
