Ms. Sudweeks' Sports and Entertainment Marketing class have been learning about Target Market and what information you can and should collect and use to specifically reach a group of people to sale a product to. To demonstrate this knowledge, the students chose a specific sporting or entertainment event and selected a specific category of person who would most likely attend that event and created a target profile about them. They then brought the person alive by creating a paper cutout of them and including products this target market would most likely purchase. The kids had a blast and learned that "the more you know about people, the more easily you can convince them to attend your event or purchase items connected to the event and the more money you can make as a business."

We took a few minutes to write a thank you note to a teacher who really helped us out last semester! I love seeing the kids really get into this activity. They get creative, but more importantly, they take that time to express appreciation, which is good for their mental health. And they take time to thoughtfully write, which is a skill in and of itself!
