South Fremont High School also received the Professional Cup (BPA’s equivalent of Chapter or Team of the Year). We were selected by the State Advisor this year for demonstrating the ideals, motto, and service programs of BPA. This is a huge accomplishment.
Kelton Dillard was also voted in as a member of the Idaho BPA State Officer Team for next year and will represent our chapter, school, community, and the whole Idaho BPA organization as the VP of Operations for the 2023-2024 membership year! Super proud of him!
Overall we had a lot of freshman and new to BPA students compete and experience SLC and that is huge. These kids worked their butts off this year and these results show it. We couldn't be more proud of our program. Now onto Nationals in Anaheim, California at the end of April.

Ms. Sudweeks' Sports and Entertainment Marketing class have been learning about Target Market and what information you can and should collect and use to specifically reach a group of people to sale a product to.
To demonstrate this knowledge, the students chose a specific sporting or entertainment event and selected a specific category of person who would most likely attend that event and created a target profile about them. They then brought the person alive by creating a paper cutout of them and including products this target market would most likely purchase.
The kids had a blast and learned that "the more you know about people, the more easily you can convince them to attend your event or purchase items connected to the event and the more money you can make as a business."

We took a few minutes to write a thank you note to a teacher who really helped us out last semester!
I love seeing the kids really get into this activity. They get creative, but more importantly, they take that time to express appreciation, which is good for their mental health. And they take time to thoughtfully write, which is a skill in and of itself!

The drivers ed class at South Fremont High School will start with a mandatory parent meeting on Wednesday, February 15 @ 6:00 pm in the high school Little Theater. The classroom portion begins Thursday, Feb. 16 @ 6:00 am., in room 210.
