Miss Sudweeks' Sports and Entertainment Marketing students have been busy learning about ethics, diversity, social responsibility, and risk management and it's effect on the sports and entertainment industry. They finished up the unit by analyzing a sports or entertainment company on its corporate social responsibility initiatives and practices.

On April 19th, South Fremont High School is hosting a Career Exploration Event. This event is open to any 9th-12th grade students and will occur from 9am-12pm. If you have any questions please email Karlie Sudweeks (Ms. Sudweeks) at karlies@sd215.net

Juniors attended Higher Education Days where they met with Colleges and University Reps from Idaho and Utah State University. The Idaho Apprenticeship Coordinator also offered students information on Apprenticeships. Students were sent home with colored folders, purple at NF and red at SF, with tips and sample resume and application. We plan to use this folder throughout their Senior year. We encourage families to talk to their students about after High School opportunities and encourage them to participate in these activities.

Come support the senior class tonight (March 27, 2023) at 7:00 pm as the staff takes on the seniors in a basketball game!! This is a fundraiser- entry is $5 at the door for everyone. We look forward to seeing you there!! Spectators will also have the ability to buy points to see their favorite team win! $1 per point.

Our Foods & Nutrition and Culinary classes were busy the last couple days baking and frosting Texas Sheet Cakes for the FFA Banquet. The students did a fantastic job and they turned out amazing!

Yesterday several of our student spent the day attending ISU’s Tech Expo. What a great opportunity for students to see new technology and the careers associated with.

What an amazing season. The speeches from Judge Eddins and Coach Sprenkle summed up the season so perfectly. This is what a lifetime of devotion and dedication looks like. We are so proud of our team and coaches.

Some of our students were able to attend the Paul Mitchell campus tour. We would like to thank Paul Mitchell for providing transportation and hosting our students for the day. @pmtsrexburgid

SCHOOL BOND ELECTION TODAY! It is election day. Patrons have the opportunity to vote on the proposed bond to update Ashton Elementary, South Fremont High School, and North Fremont JH/HS. Please take the opportunity to exercise your Constitutional right to vote.

SCHOOL BOND ELECTION. Tomorrow is election day. Patrons have the opportunity to vote on the proposed bond to update Ashton Elementary, South Fremont High School, and North Fremont JH/HS. See the District website for full details or call the District Office (208-624-7542).

UPDATED BOND INFORMATION. During the community information meetings on the bond proposal, patrons asked the school district to post the updated municipal bond interest rates just prior to the bond election on March 14. Zion's Public Finance, Inc. sent an updated graph showing the interest rate trends for the past year from March 1, 2022 through March 7, 2023. They also included a slide showing a comparison between the interest rates from January (3.73%) and March 8 (3.83%). It shows how the change in rates would impact the overall tax impact per $100,000 of taxable value. This slide also shows the impact should the interest rate be 1% higher or 1% lower. As a reminder, the final interest rate if the bond is approved in March would not be locked in until the end of May.
Thank you to all who have reached out to ask questions and learn more. These new slides and all other official information regarding the bond can be found on the district website (https://www.sd215.net/o/sd215/page/2023-bond-election). If you have any additional questions, please contact one of the Board members or the District Office.

On, March 16, our Juniors and Seniors can sign up to attend the ISU Tech Expo at Holt Arena. This expo offers students the opportunity to ask questions about a variety of technical careers from welding to web design. Please have your student sign up and return their completed permission slip as soon as possible.

Our Ceramics Students Pinch Pot Monsters came out great!
