
FREMONT 215 SCHOOLS CLOSED (3/5/24). Due to road closures and more snow and wind in the immediate forecast, ALL Fremont County School District #215 schools will be closed today (Tuesday, March 5).

Mrs. Hammonds culinary class has been working hard the last few weeks to create their own sourdough starter. With great success, the class is now making sourdough recipes and will be able to take home their own starter.







We love inviting industry professionals into the classroom to teach the kids for the day. Thanks so much to Texas Roadhouse for teaching about their marketing and operations processes today!

This past week 33 South Fremont High School CTSO leaders embarked on a journey to Boise to compete against about a 1000 other students in several different events. They all did an amazing job! It was a week full of competitions, leadership development, networking, industry tours, service projects, and so much more!

Mrs Abrams business management class hitting the ground running with their school store, Cougar Den! Kids are learning marketing, operations, research and development, and finance. They just finished with their first major project, designing and producing custom shirts, and hoodies for the Mountain Rivers District wrestling tournament! Students can apply for the Idaho Opportunity Scholarship through Scholarship Idaho until March 1st, 2024. FAFSA is required to be eligible for the Opportunity Scholarship. Students applying for the Idaho Opportunity Scholarship have until March 31st, 2024 to submit their FAFSA.

FCCLA had an awesome day at Districts today! Every student that competed placed and will advance to State. Congratulations to:
Starr Hernandez Torres, Kelton Dillard, Allie Lokey, Luna Smith and Alexa Overton! State will be held in April in Boise.

Mrs. Hammonds Culinary class ended the semester learning about the restaurant industry. We are so grateful for Chick- Fil-A for spoiling us with milkshakes. We ended our field trip at Panera utilizing our workplace skills we learned throughout the semester. Our students worked on the prep line preparing salads and sandwiches, did dishes, and bussed and cleaned tables. Thank you Panera and Chick-Fil-A for welcoming us so warmly.

South Fremont High School will start a new driver education class on February 5th. There will be a mandatory parent/student meeting at 6:00 pm in the commons. To enroll in the course, a student must be 14.5 years of age and have an learner's permit. If you have any questions contact Roger Smith at rogers@sd215.net

Beginning Ceramics learned about Greek pottery aesthetics and patterns and practiced the sgraffito technique as well.
